To meet the artist behind a work is to meet its soul! Be inspired whilst listening to the artists speak of their journey and process whilst creating a deeper connection to the story of the art itself; taking the piece from a mere object to a living thing with story, history and energy.

We’ll discover 5 galleries tucked away in St Kilda and explore unique, quality art works in a variety of diverse art forms and mediums.
This is a unique and immersive experience and isn’t just about paintings!
You will discover fine indigenous and multi-cultural art, modern contemporary as well as abstract and unique bespoke lighting.
The Angry Penguins Movement
Learn about the famous artists of the 1940’s – 1960’s era such as Sidney Nolan, Arthur Boyd and Albert Tucker and his wife Joy Hester who were all famous painters from the St Kilda area and part of the Avant Garde period of their time who all made quite a name for themselves. They also teamed up with David and Sunday Rose from the Heide Gallery and became quite inseparable for a time.
Learn about the history and settlement of this area from 150 years ago and the historical Indigenous influence. It’s extensive!
Your senses will be delighted as you hear these stories and meet the artists whilst immersing yourself in the stories behind the art.
