Meet: At Newmarket Hotel, 34 Inkerman St, St Kilda at 1.20pm
Catch the #67 tram from the CBD down St Kilda Rd and get off at Inkerman St, Cross St Kilda Rd and walk 30 metres down Inkerman to the Newmarket Hotel on the right.
Arrive early at this funky, popular St Kilda bar and restaurant and either enjoy a light lunch or glass of wine before we head off.
A short walk takes us to the famous Jackman Gallery and beyond, where we’ll discover the stories behind the art and the artists in a diverse range of galleries and studios in East St Kilda.
People love meeting Ilan from Ilanel Lighting and hearing about how his team creates individual bespoke lighting pieces which are in themselves, a piece of art. All hand-made, Ilan’s stunning unique designer lights are shipped all over the world.
We’ll then head to Vivien Anderson Gallery, a veteran Indigenous art curator of 30 years featuring quality Aboriginal art from the Central Desert and Arnhem land areas of the Northern Territory.
Next we visit another special gallery – Brightspace with owner Kylie Greer who has been featuring artists from all over Melbourne and Australia for 20 plus years.
Around the corner is Victor and his brother Pedro from Venezuela who are the curators of exhibitions at 4Dverse Gallery. With regular local, national and international exhibitions, 4Dverse never ceases to amaze visitors.

Last but not least we finish at Space2B Social Design which is a multi-cultural hub for both Australian artists as well as newly arrived immigrants and refugee creators and makers. With a retail shop as well as a gallery, there’s something for everyone here.
Catch the #78 tram from Space2B or walk up to Carlisle St and catch the #16 or 3a back to the CBD. Alternatively, walk around the corner to Carlisle St and catch the Sandringham line train from Balaclava Station back to the city.
